Ince lined up for Rovers in a 2-0 victory over his former club Blackpool, scoring no goals but showing his skills in a match that will have impressed the Tranmere coaches. The 34-year-old joined Watford in 2023 and made 93 appearances in all competitions, scoring 11 goals including a hat-trick in a 3-0 victory over Birmingham City on New Year's Day.
