Tranmere Rovers have lost striker Harvey Saunders to Northampton Town, who have signed him on a two-year deal. Saunders scored 10 goals in 38 appearances on loan for Eastleigh in the National League last season. The 28-year-old started his career at Fleetwood Town and went on to play for Hartlepool and Bristol Rovers before joining Tranmere in January 2023. New Northampton Town boss Chris Hogg has praised Saunders' positional flexibility and energy, saying he will be a good asset for the team. Saunders will officially join Northampton Town on 1 July. The move is a significant loss for Tranmere Rovers, who will need to find a replacement for Saunders' goals and experience. Northampton Town, meanwhile, will be hoping that Saunders can help them improve their fortunes in the league.
