Tranmere Rovers have signed left-back Jacob Slater on a two-year contract. Slater, 21, began his career at Championship club Preston North End.
The signing of Slater is a significant boost to Tranmere's squad, especially considering their current league standing: 21st in League Two, 41 pts, 10W-11D-25L from 46 games, recent form DLWLD.
Slater has a strong football education, having played for Preston North End and Brighton & Hove Albion. He has also made six appearances for Republic of Ireland U21s.
