Tranmere Rovers have sacked manager Andy Crosby after a disappointing run of form that saw the club lose 10 of their last 11 League Two matches. The decision comes just 10 months after Crosby was appointed on a permanent basis, as the club finds itself in 19th place, eight points clear of the relegation zone with 11 games remaining in the season. The latest defeat came against Newport County, a team also fighting to avoid relegation. Chairman Mark Palios expressed his gratitude for Crosby's efforts but felt a change was necessary to address the team's poor results. Andy Parkinson will step in as interim manager for the upcoming match against Oldham Athletic, supported by Connor Jennings and Joe Murphy. Crosby's tenure included a successful end to the previous season, where he helped the team avoid relegation, but this season has seen a drastic decline in performance. Since the New Year, Tranmere has only managed to secure three points from a possible 33, raising concerns among the supporters, who had previously called for an immediate change in management. The club's defense has also struggled, conceding 10 goals in their last three games, including a heavy defeat to Notts County.
